# noust manifest

Write a server down, preview what would change, and apply it.

```bash
noust manifest [OPTIONS] COMMAND [ARGS]...
```

Subcommands: [`apply`](#noust-manifest-apply), [`export`](#noust-manifest-export), [`plan`](#noust-manifest-plan), [`validate`](#noust-manifest-validate)

## noust manifest apply

Make the server match a manifest.

```bash
noust manifest apply [OPTIONS] FILE
```

Arguments: `file`

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `--yes`, `-y` | Apply without asking (a pipeline). |  |
| `--wait`, `--no-wait` | Wait for the deployments it queues. |  |
| `--timeout` |  | `1800.0` |
| `--restart` | Restart the applications whose variables changed, so they use them. | |
| `--json` | Print the outcome of each change as JSON. | |
| `--reason` | Why this change is made (a change reference, a ticket). Recorded with the command in the audit log; required only where a compliance framework asks for it (ENS) or security.change_reasons is on. | |

## noust manifest export

Write down the applications and projects you can see as a manifest.

```bash
noust manifest export [OPTIONS]
```

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `--output`, `-o` |  |  |
| `--reason` | Why this change is made (a change reference, a ticket). Recorded with the command in the audit log; required only where a compliance framework asks for it (ENS) or security.change_reasons is on. | |

## noust manifest plan

Say what applying a manifest would change. Changes nothing.

```bash
noust manifest plan [OPTIONS] FILE
```

Arguments: `file`

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `--check` | Exit 2 when there is something to apply (for a pipeline). |  |
| `--json` | Print the plan as JSON. |  |
| `--reason` | Why this change is made (a change reference, a ticket). Recorded with the command in the audit log; required only where a compliance framework asks for it (ENS) or security.change_reasons is on. | |

## noust manifest validate

Check a manifest and say what it holds. Needs no server.

```bash
noust manifest validate [OPTIONS] FILE
```

Arguments: `file`

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `--json` | Print what the manifest holds as JSON. |  |
| `--reason` | Why this change is made (a change reference, a ticket). Recorded with the command in the audit log; required only where a compliance framework asks for it (ENS) or security.change_reasons is on. | |
