# noust delete

Delete an application and everything deployed with it.

```bash
noust delete [OPTIONS] DOMAIN
```

Arguments: `domain`

| Option | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `-f`, `-y`, `--force` | Delete without asking for confirmation. |  |
| `--keep-files` | Leave the application directory on disk. |  |
| `--keep-certificate` | Leave the domain's certificate in place (it is removed with the application otherwise). | |
| `--remove-volumes` | Also remove the Docker volumes of a Compose stack or a container application: they hold its data, so they are never removed unless asked for. | |
| `--remove-databases` | Also drop the databases that belong to the application and that no other application uses, each after a last dump. Never unless asked for; one it merely uses is kept. | |
| `--remove-adopted-directory` | Also remove the application's directory when it is outside Noust's apps directory (an adopted stack). Name it exactly; without this it is kept. | |
| `-v`, `--verbose` | Show the detail of each step. |  |
| `--dry-run` | Rehearse without changing anything. Read-only checks still run. |  |
| `--no-color` | Never emit colour. |  |
| `--reason` | Why this change is made (a change reference, a ticket). Recorded with the command in the audit log; required only where a compliance framework asks for it (ENS) or security.change_reasons is on. | |
